Challenge

Daikin Europe nv, the European headquarters of airconditioning producer Daikin, publishes thousands of technical information books about their units annually.

A data book - 900 pages with drawings, tables and product explanation – is distributed in 14 languages around the Western and Eastern European market.

Daikin wishes to become an important player in the Russian market, so Russian must also be included in the languages published to. In 2002, Daikin Europe switched from the manual production of the books to an automated workflow.

Solution

All data is stored in a central database. From this database, the generation of data book, leaflets, pamphlets, etc takes place in no time and in just a few easy steps.

Automated creation of printed instruction manuals and technical documentation in 14 languages including Russian, Polish and Greek.

Integrate with a CMS allowing the automatic generation of contents and index pages as well as cross references within the document.
